Kogi Guber: I Will Use Technology To Fight Insecurity– Erico PDP Aspirant

A frontline aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the November 16, governorship election in Kogi State  Dr. Joseph Erico Ameh  has assured the state of his capacity to deploying modern technology to  restructure the state security architecture if elected as governor.
Ameh disclosed this at the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)  Media parley for governorship aspirants over the weekend in Lokoja.
The aspirant also pledged to rescue the state from the current abject poverty and underdevelopment even as he promised to restructure key sectors of the state economy especially Education, Agriculture, Health and provide basic infrastructures.

“In the area of security, I am an authority. I know how to solve security issues working with the Military, the Police and other security agencies
Ameh who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Real Strikers Security Ltd. with about 9,689 staff across the country promised to restructure the state security architecture and critically address issues of hostage taking and armed robbery in the state
He said that his government would transform and digitalise governance away from the archaic procedures adding all it would take the state to advance is  good thinking, bright and implementable ideas.

Ameh held that salary payment was not what any government should be praised for as an achievement saying that non – payment of workers’ entitlements and salaries was an aberration which the holy books frowned at.
Ameh who is a security expert and an accomplished entrepreneur said that he would also give special attention to the fight against corruption and dearth of basic infrastructures in Kogi state.
He said his adventure into politics was not for selfish reasons but based on his believe in the philosophy and ideology of “Do not ask what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.
“I have seen the suffering of my people. I am coming to put Kogi State on the right track to build a nation for our children and rekindle the hope in our state and the nation
The gubernatorial aspirant promised to priorities  food ecurity, youth and women empowerment as well as establishment of small scale industries.
Speaking earlier, Alhaji Adeiza Momoh-Jimoh, Kogi NUJ Council chairman said the Media Parley was aimed at holding public office seekers accountable to the people by preparing a marking scheme to asses their performance when they got into office.
