Abubakar Ibrahim,PDP Governorship aspirant for November election, has assured the people of the state,that he will ensure wholesome divestment of natural and mineral resources available in the state to improve the living standard of citizens and ensure infrastructural development
Abubakar made this revelation while fielding questions on Channels television,Politics today,held at the backdrop of the coming election in Kogi
According to Abubakar,the dwindling federal allocation to Kogi state and erratic internally generated revenue,will not be a barrier to sustaining both the social and economic problems of the state
“Kogi State is blessed with Arable land, and some untapped mineral resources,that will be my source of courage to transform the entire fabrics of the state”
He said when elected,he will tackle the process of development of the state anxiously and courageously to bridge the gap of under development and decadence in governance
Alhaji Abubakar said no nation survives in all spheres with out collaboration locally and internationally,as alot of interest is shown since our desire to serve the state was officially kick start,by multiple investors to broker business interest with the state
“I will bring in, investors that can convert that into fruitful ventures and by doing so, our teaming youths will be gainfully employed. While the tax generated by those investments will be used for salaries of the workers and pensioners, and other internal projects in the state”
The Governorship hopeful said the influx of both local and foreign investors encouraged through tax holidays and tax waiver, as well as reduction will translate to engagement of our youths, through gainful employment, as well as stabilise payment of salaries to workers and the pension
“I will encourage the influx of investors into the state through a tax holiday”.
He said experts and investors will be geared towards revolutionizing Education,Agriculture and investing in the myriads of mineral deposits scattered in large quantities around the state to mitigate the current backwardness in the comity of states in Nigeria
Alhaji Ibrahim solicited for sustained support from all and sundry, to take kogi state to the promise land by November,when elected as governor
