Professor Joseph Erico said the removal of Kogi governor,Alhaji Yahaya Bello will be the easiest thing in November Governorship election in Kogi, later in the year Engineer Erico gave the pledge after the collection of the 25 million naira PDP nomination form to vie for Kogi Governor later in November at Wadata plaza He said the secret of removing Governor Yahaya Bello from the leadership of the state, is to do the opposite,as the leadership has brought untold hardship to the people of kogi state Erico promised to overhaul the entire fabric and system of the state, to revert the numerous mineral potentials into bumper profitable venture, that will explode employment opportunities to all part of kogi state .
The PDP Governorship aspirant assured the people of kogi state, that he will match his words with actions,as an employer of labour with over 9000 workforce in a private entity,promising to revolutionise both the public service,create an enabling environment for private sector participation Professor Erico Joseph expressed deep worry and regrets on the inability of Kogi state government to pay its workers and pensioners for months and years ,saying that ” A worker deserves his living wages” and not subject to begging before salaries are been paid in Kogi state Chief Erico alleged that contrary to people’s insinuation that the multiple aspirants in PDP will mar the chances of the party,saying the more we are are,the merrier,to ensure we exterminate bad leadership in Kogi by November He promised to prioritise infrastructural and social services,saying the level of decadence in all facets of people’s life in kogi in the last three years,is alarming and need urgent redemption.
Aside creating employment opportunities,Chief Erico reminded the people of the urgent need to provide empowerment and highly skilled development outlet ,to mitigate the use of our promising young lad as thugs and mercenaries to disrupt and maim our people during elections ” What we witnessed in the last election in Kogi was near war and not a free contest,were by government at the helms of affairs hired mercenaries within and outside the state ,to truncate the process of peacefully picking candidates of our choice ” PDP Guber hopeful solicit for people’s support, particularly within the caucus of the party and well meaning individuals and electorates,to ensure the change of leadership under APC ,that had pauperised both the working and self sustaining individuals in the society
