As the 2019 general elections draws near, politicians are beginning to sell their manifestos to the public – One of such politicians is Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin CFR, a leading governorship aspirant in Kogi state under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) – He outlined his plans for the state while addressing crowd in Attah of Igala Place in Idah,during an interaction with leaders and stakeholders of the APC over his ambition to lead the state in 2019. Dishing out his plans of fighting unemployment in the state, Jibrin said he would establish the Kogi State Employment Trust Fund to cater for the unemployed youths in the state, and the fund would provide access a minimum of N1billion every year.
Armed with his vision to make Kogi state the preferred investment destination in Nigeria, Jibrin believe by providing effective and transparent leadership that will harness the resources of the state for the benefit of all, “Kogi state will move to it’s next level.” His words: “My Mission is to improve the wellbeing of the people of Kogi state through the development of world class infrastructure, social service,
tourism, agriculture and solid minerals, Kogi state and is blessed and strategic to the nation.
“I want to run a government that is based on justice, fair, equity, fair play and selfless service to humanity. Am offering myself for the service of my people as a democratic leader who has the fear of God and sincerely have the passion to take Kogi state to it’s promised land.”
