KOGI GUBER: Hajiya Asmau Musa Wada Meet Women Ahead of PDP Primary

The wife of Engr. Musa Wada  Hajiya Asmau Musa wada  has said that as the first lady, she will establish a task force to promote women and girl-child education in the state.
Hajiya Asmau Musa wada disclosed this on Monday while speaking with the association of women from Kogi east at her resident in Anyigba at a reception organized for her by the Musa mass movement women forum (mmmwf)
She said the task force would comprise people of proven character whom would be charged with the responsibility of identifying vulnerable girls , women, and groups across the state who will be in need of urgent care and support to improve their lives.
“My project will quickly mobilize all that will be needed to ameliorate the condition or situation that such person or persons may be facing.
“The women project will largely focus on women and the girl-child, but this does not in any way mean that the boy-child will be left out, no,  only that the girls are more disadvantaged, I know what it feels like having passed through such stages.
” we will,  within  the resources available look for ways through which one we can empower women even by approaching other organization that are within, to embrace the initiative.
” this is aimed at ensuring that once the mothers are empowered, the issue of street hawking by the girl-child will be highly minimized and the women will be encouraged to send their children to school.
“Who knows such a girl that is given this opportunity might become a leader tomorrow ” she said.
Hajiya Asmau Musa wada appealed to the well-to-do and groups in the state to support her husband in the forthcoming PDP primary election in order to make this initiative a reality which would concentrate on the rural populace who were more in need of the intervention..
The PDP zonal woman leader, the chairlady of the forum, said the meeting was organized in order to meet with Hajiya Asmau Musa wada for them to pledge their support for her husband’s aspiration for the Kogi state top job,  praying for the success of Engr. Musa Wada in the forthcoming primary election.
” we shall continue to support the ambition of Engr. Musa Wada with prayers and advice so that when he get there, his team can bring dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi state.
“Already,  the man behind the mask,  Engr. Musa Wada has promised free Waec and Neco and improvement of health sector if given the privilege. This is a right decision coming at the right time,  we pray God answer our prayers and effort ” the zonal women  leader said.
