Renaissance Group, will from Wednesday 19 commence a peaceful protest in strategic places of Abuja,against the infiltration of the state government into the traditional institutions A statement issued by Mohammed Abani on behalf of the group, stated that in the event of the protest,the designated Royal fathers will be confronted in their various abode, to preclude them from making case for the re-election of Governor Yahaya Bello in the next election
Already machinery had been in place by the state government to ensure a hitch free visit to the President as a reassurance of vote of confidence on the governor to return to kogi top job in November Some of the traditional rulers who bared their minds before the trip,said the government threatened to blackmail,dethrone or suspend any recalcitrant traditional ruler that resisted the premeditated visit of endorsing the governor for a second term .

The Royal fathers have no clear cut agenda that bordered on the development of the state,rather than coming to promote a government that had forgotten when last pensioners,workers both at the state and local government were paid salaries.
The last two months salaries paid according to the state government,was shrouded in emptying the civil servants accounts, owing to unserviceable loan and exposure to the banks in the last three years,leading to some senior top civil servants in the ranks of Directors,Deputy Directors and other categories assessing empty funds in their accounts Eye witnesses confirmed some of the staff of the state workforce in this category, slumped and were rushed to the hospitals, for first aides,while others are still lying down critically in the hospitals without funds to assess treatment Governor Bello penchant for non payment of salaries is legendary, as the civil servants may not know when they will access the next salary,with areas of six months hanging for the frontline workers and the overheated polity towards November election Funds meant to offset these critical issues were been diverted to address personal political adventure of the governor to force himself on the people of the state Already other contestants from the APC are already working hard to ensure the victory of the party at the primaries apart from the governor and the November election Top party hierarchy said APC will loose kogi if given the ticket, owing to the magnitude or bad blood,and poor performance of his government in the last three years
