Payment of salaries to kogi workers,pensioners and infrastructural development is beyond the capacity of the present adminstration,APC Governorship aspirant,Prince Mona Mustapha Audu has said
Kogi governorship aspirant disclosed this in his office while filelding questions from newsmen on his plans to revitalise the critical sectors of Kogi state
Prince Mustapha said for the governor not to achieve payment of workers salaries for over 40 months and pensions as well as scandal of contract virement,he doubt whether the government meant well for the people of the state
Kogi Guber hopeful assured the people when elected that he will not rely on federal allocation,Bail out or special grants to offset workers salaries and pensions as well as develop the state in all areas,saying the repayment plans is crude with huge interest
Prince Mona said he will revitalise the civil service to make them more result oriented and create an optional avenue to allow them invest their monthly salary, that will yield more dividends while in service
“The civil service will be encouraged to divest and the equity will be used to invest and reinvest as the case may be and agreed by the civil servants”
He promised to recall at sacked state workers and local government to service,and roll out an acceptable modalities to pay them their entitlements,ranging from 45 months,40 months,35 months,20 months as the case may be into equities,divestment and investment as well as partnership that will secure and retrieve their funds stocked with the government
This funds according to Mustapha, will be invested in estates,Cooperatives and other form of Business with high collateral and attract the civil servants into accessing them without a dime,using their invested interest as grants
Prince Mustapha accused some state government for misleading the state into loans and advances to mortgage the life of the state,saying he will encourage purchase of more shares both in local and international companies and the equities of the proceeds will naturally be used to provide social services free of charge,ranging from Power,Roads,Education and Health in an improved economy of the state
He berated the usual slogan of plucking in government funds into building of Roads,Hospitals,funding Education and Power, instead of using the proceeds to naturally make available the social services,this will jettison the old and archaic system and move to modern ways
Prince Mona pleaded with the people of the state to support his laudable manifestoes,saying a new kogi state will evolve through Entrepreneurship,new line of Business,improve investment and people, create ingenious ways of meeting obligations and solving problems
He also promised to invest more in energy through river Niger,explore the huge deposit of mineral resources and bring about adequate job security devoid of illegal screening and sack,as well as victimisation
Prince Mona said alot of potentials and resources untapped in kogi state had been the bane of sustainable and steady development of the state
