PDP Governorship hopeful,Dr Joseph Erico has assured the people of Okene and the central senatorial district, of more government presence in terms of social and infrastructural development of the area
Dr Erico dropped this hint while on a familiarisation visit to garner more support for his election in September primaries,under the platform of PDP
Chief Erico regretted the lack of government presence in the area,particularly on infrastructure and socio- economic development even though the area has produced the state governor
He said the area has not justified the presence of a sitting governor,as a result of non implementation of laudable projects in his immediate environment, and the entire central senatorial district
“The government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello has only succeeded in riding on the back and well wishes of the people,without commensurate development of the area”
Chief Erico promised to redress such anomaly without further delay, when voted to replace Governor Yahaya Bello in Kogi Lugard house

“During his stint as Kwara governor,there was proliferation of many human capital,infrastructural,economic and social services,that had multiplier effects of the lives of the people,but the reverse is the case now”
Erico described Kogi governor,Yahaya Bello as a missed opportunity, for the people of Okene and the central senatorial district,promising to reverse the ugly trend when elected
He urged the people to support his ambition devoid of tribe,creed and religion to ensure the accelerated development of the state
