Kogi Guber; Dr Joseph Erico Reach Agreements With Kogi Workers,Pensioners Over Salary Arrears

Kogi governorship hopeful,Chief Joseph Ameh Erico has promised the state workers,local government workers including pensioners to address the backlog of their salaries within the short period in the office Chief Erico reached this agreement during a visit by some workers to his country home in Etutekpe, in solidarity with his desire to wrest power from the inexperienced leaders at the helms of affairs in the last three years.
Dr Erico sympathized with the plight of Kogi workers and pensioners,insisting that every worker deserve its living wages,alluding to the popular saying,that “the sweat of a worker must not run dry, before he/she gets payment” Kogi governorship hopeful assured the workers that aside clearing the backlog of workers salaries for over 40 months,he will prioritise salary payment if voted into power and put in place an enabling environment that will encourage on the job development through career refreshment He said for a government that deliberately refused to pay workers wages,will not consider career development,advancement and reorientation He reiterated his commitment towards workers welfare,advancement as well as career development as a corollary to good governance and stable leadership.
The security guru said the prevalent insecurity and palpable social vices was occasioned by lack of confidence in the governance process of the state,by the present administration,saying no meaningful achievement will be realised, in an atmosphere of uncertainty Dr Erico said with his position,he has ready to sign a pact with the state workforce and pensioners when voted into office, to ensure all promises reached were fulfilled outside bureaucratic bottlenecks He said the pensioners were worst hit,having served the state to the best of their abilities and knowledge,assuring them that they will reap the fruits of their labour through the prompt payement of their entitlements
