Director, Public Communications of PDP Candidate,Wada /Aro,Comrade Usman Okai Austin has handed down a strongly worded warning to the state government under Yahaya Bello, and alerted the state police commissioner,Busari Hakeem and state director of DSS over concluded arrangement by APC to attack the PDP campaigns team in the state.
“The expanded campaign council said, the same forces that attacked the PDP primaries on September 3rd is at it again, this time the plan is already in places to attack our campaign team” Okai Said
A statement signed by Comrade Okai on behalf of the campaign team, confirms that paid thugs and hired assassins rented in some Siena buses, have been contracted to Lokoja,the state capital and other parts of the state, to launch an attack on the PDP campaign train, to discourage the main opposition party front carrying on with it’s electioneering programs, towards November election in the state
As part of the arrangement by the Yahaya Bello’s administration,the thugs are also expected to swoop into the supporters of the PDP at the premises of the campaign ground, or attack them while on their way to attend or returning from the programs
The state government having succeeded in harassment and intimidation of voters through heavily built armed thugs and violence attack,intend to replicate same formula so as to kill and maim innocent supporters and large sympathisers of the party across the state
Okai warned the state police commissioner to swing into action to counter the dangerous and deadly plans of the state government,or will be treated as part of the already contrived arrangement to discourage the people’s support for PDP Wada/Aro
Austin Okai insisted that the last attack during the primary in September, is still fresh, with the lackadaisical attitude of the police authorities refusal to investigate the incidence ,same design the APC led government want to impose on the people
He vowed to resist the panned dastardly and undemocratic practice, introduced by Governor Yahaya Bello and his cohorts in Kogi,in connivance with security agents,promising to confront them at the right time
The Ag Director wondered while the APC campaign team are going freely from place to place in Kogi ,even at night,harassing and threatening people,the PDP is been disallowed from carrying out a legitimate gatherings in the state
Okai said PDP is a law abiding party and must not be pushed to the wall, call on the secruity appartaus in the state not to allow possible break down of law and order as nobody is above the law.
