People’s Democratic Party Campaign Council in Kogi state said the flag off of APC in Kogi, was a mere assemblage of political appointees and onlookers without the presence of Campaign Council Chairman ,Mallam Nasir El-rufai,owing to bad product of Kogi governor.
A statement issued by the council said it is shameless of the current administration in Kogi, to still embark on crowd buying and hired mercenaries involving the students of the Federal Polytechnic Idah and College of Health sciences for a paltry Five thousand naira.
PDP said no wonder apart from the political appointees mandated to mobilise paid crowd,and the heavy presence of APC thugs and their agents,most of the supporters adored with GYB t- shirt and face cap, were novice carrying out a cash and carry assignment
The APC also used the opportunity to import reluctant and jobless youths from Okene to Idah,so as to boost the unacceptable stance of the governor by the people of Kogi east.
The council alleged that the governor’s decision to join the programs under one fold, was to cover up his unpopular stance by the entire Kogi east,before the National working committee members of APC who were in Kogi
“If not how can the conferement,commissioning,flag off of Idah/Agenebode bridge and APC campaign be subsumed under a visit to the ancient town ,just to cover up people’s resistance”
All the same,the PDP thank their supporters for showing to the entire Nigerians present at the occassion,that Kogi governor will not return Lugard house in November
The PDP expressed deep embarrassment and resentment on how the APC government, had turned the palace of the paramount ruler of Igala Kingdom, as their campaign ground,to buy the impression of fake acceptance of Yahaya Bello by the people of Kogi east.
The council impressed that whether Governor Yahaya Bello changes his local government origin to any in Kogi east,he will still be confronted with the wrath and protest vote of the people,owing to bad governance of his stint in the last three and half years
“Governor Bello instead of presenting his achievements and manifestoes was full apology to the people of the state,having subjected them to naked poverty and untold hardship in all areas “
The PDP said Bello’s flag off rally in Idah the cradle of Igala kingdom, was a valedictory rally to the people of Kogi state, to put an end to wicked and unmitigated leadership in Kogi, due to end in November.
