All is not well in Kogi APC delegates election that gave overwhelmly victory to Governor Yahaya Bello as delegates who were cornered and voted for the Governor were protesting the removal of 80,000 from 150,000 agreed after the election on thursday, while others went home with 70k, 30k and 10K
This is contrary to the agreement reached between the delegates and the state governor before allowing him to do the bid of frustrating other contestants to pick the party’s ticket
The delegates plight became noticeable after the announcement of the result of primary election,as the music and dancing steps changed with party leaders saddled with the distribution of the fund went away with the money
Some prominent party leader from Kogi east, central and west were confirmed to have escaped with the money at the expense of the delegates after the exercise as less than 50% of what the government promised went the other way
With these development,APC delegates have promise to frustrate the governor’s bid to return to Lugard house, promising to throw their weight behind PDP in November election
It was also revealed that the same way the Governor conducted his primary in 2015,were fake bank documents for cash was issued to delegates, and later disappeared to tin air immediately after losing the election
APC delegates expressed worry over their decision to vote Governor Yahaya Bello, against other sincere contestants denied ticket or rigged Out,to favour his candidature
Delegates confessed they were secluded and misinformed of juicy promises from the Governor, including cars and reasonable cash, that led to the mass customised ballot papers with Yahaya Bello’s inscription, but was later scammed
Very reliable sources confirmed that Kogi governor,Yahaya Bello actually released the money, but was diverted by top government officials close to the sit of power for personal gains
It has been the tradition of Kogi goverment and top politicians in Governor Yahaya Bello’s government, indulged in shortchanging people against the decision of the Governor or agreement between him and the people
