The crisis rocking the All Progressive Congress, APC ,Lokoja Local Government chapter has taken a new twist following the removal of the Chairman, Hon Maikudi Bature by the 21members of the LG Executive of the party.
In a letter signed by the Twenty One Local Government executives and made available to journalists, the executives accused the embattled chairman of mismanagement of fund,gross misconduct and abuse of office among others.
The leader further stated that: “an acting Chairman has been nominated he is INUWA MAHMUD MUHAMMED”
“Henceforth any party activities should be communicated through Inuwa Mahmud Muhammed” the executives directed.
Signed by the 21 Lokoja Local Government members of executive,the letter was copied to Lokoja APC leadership Forum Chairman, Administrator of Lokoja Local Government,the embattled Chairman and APC chairmen forum .
When contacted by this reporter through phone for his response,the embattled Chairman who spoke briefly and his line went of and uptill the time of writing this report we could not reach him.
But in a shaft reaction Hamisu Dan Musa, who signed for the embattled chairman wrote on his Facebook wall:
“The Lokoja Local Government APC Chairman wishes to debunk the on-going fake news and deny the rumor on the social media that he was”impeached”.
” I wish states unequivocally that I remains the substantive APC Chairman of Lokoja Local Government”. In fact the fake news was orchestrated from the mind and mouth of mischievous makers, who are desperate to distract him because of his unprecedented changes in party and intense campaign carried out by him which brings general acceptability of the our party to the public.
In the light of this, “I wish to call the general public to disregard any person who parades himself as the acting APC Chairman of Lokoja Local Government” Thanks.
