Agents of kogi state government have embarked on the defacing of posters of Rear Admiral Usman Oyibe Jibrin(Rtd), across the state as a face saving measure to frustrate contenders of kogi governor,Alhaji Yahaya Bello

A statement issued in lokoja confirmed the rising profile of the gubernatorial hopeful, that had been a source of nightmare to kogi governor, whose chances of securing a second term remain dicey
Jibrin Usman stormed into a rousing and uncontrollable crowd during the screening of aspirants by KEEC at Anyigba, with his posters adored all over the state capital, and strategic places in the state including the screeinig centre in Anyigba
Not long after the event on Sunday, agents and miscreants engaged by kogi government, resorted to removal of posters in major locations and other strategic places, pasted conspicuously by the supporters of the former Naval chief
The former service chief joined the race to enable him extend his developmental strides while in the services of the Navy, to affect positively the epileptic development of kogi state by the present administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the state
Worried about his sudden surge of support both at the state and national level, the state government embarked on trailing the supporters through threat and removing all signs that will attract kogi public and support
Oyibe recently recieved multiple endorsement and support from youths, elders and stakeholders of APC from the west, central and east were he hailed
Feelers preferred the replacement of Admiral Usman Jibrin to Governor Bello in November governorship election, to return the state to the path of glory and accelerated development, particularly the payment of workers salaries owed for  38 months
