Kogi Gov’ship: I’m Fully In Support Of Ododo Project – PDP Chieftain, Abiodun Ojo

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Chief Abiodun Ojo has declared his support for the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November election in the state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Chief Ojo made the declaration when the governorship candidate paid him a visit in Lokoja on Wednesday.

The former Commissioner noted that the plan by the APC to run an issue based campaign is commendable, saying though, he is a member of PDP, he is in support of the Ododo Project.

He said he wished that power goes to the West but the choice of Alh. Usman Ododo as governorship candidate is thoughtful and a step in the right direction.

 

The governorship candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo expressed appreciation to Chief Abiodun Ojo for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage, saying with his support, the party is sure of victory in Ijumu Local Government Area.

According to Alh. Usman, the ongoing consultation of stakeholders from the state was to let them know that Governor Yahaya Bello has built a system and promised not to disappoint the confidence reposed in him.

The APC governorship candidate said he was committed to sustaining the legacies of unity, progress and development of the present administration.

He pointed out that though campaigns have started, the party is ready to run an issue based campaign, adding that his ambition is not worth the life of any Kogite.

Also speaking, the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello described the visit as home coming, noting that he has known Chief Abiodun Ojo as a fighter and astute grassroots politician.

Alh. Abdullahi stated that the party is optimistic of victory with the unflinching support of the PDP chieftain, especially in Kogi West.

The Party Chairman described the APC governorship candidate as a tested and trusted man, who respects elders, assuring that he can be trusted with power.

The Commissioner of Environment, Chief Victor Omofaiye described Chief Abiodun Ojo as a dependable grassroots politician and father, who believe in the progress of the state.

The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Sunday Faleke, Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Alh. Bashir Gegu, immediate past member representing Ijumu Constituency, Hon. Olushola Kilani Olumo, and former APC Chairman, Alh. Haddy Ametuo were on the entourage of the governorship candidate.
