Engr. Musa Wada on Tuesday declared that he remained the best candidate for the governorship election slated for November in the state based on his wealth of experience, coupled with his attachment to the grassroots.
The governorship aspirant who will be contesting under the platform of the people’s Democratic party (PDP), made this known on Tuesday when he bought his party nomination and interest form at the party’s secretariat at Wadata plaza, Abuja.
The public expert, who just retired from the service, maintained that he was the most “fit and suitable candidate, ” as he knows how to generate funds to run affairs of the state rather than depending on federal allocation or bail out alone.
Engr. Musa Wada who spoke extensively on the dire need to create enabling environment to attract investors to the state – stated that research, as well as vocational training and education, would form a critical part of his government if elected the state governor.
According to him, “if Ajaokuta steel company is in full capacity, Nigeria will be able to fund its budget without having to borrow.
” with my burning desire to come to the service of my people , Kogi state will become one of the state leading in infrastructure and financial hub for investors around the world”.
“I am conversant with the needs and aspiration of the people of Kogi state. Kogites are yearning for a man who have the experience, someone that they can see anytime ” he added.
Engr. Musa Wada stated emphatically that Kogi state needed total overhauling owing to the many security challenges bedevilling the state.
Hon. Isah Ameh, who doubles as the DG protocol, while assuring the people to put their faith and trust on Musa Wada, further charge him to ensure he delivered on his mandate, especially on the need to end the rise in poverty in the state, security issues and the improvement of the state’s internal generated revenue, IGR, as promised.
The people also asked the aspirant to rejuvenate some of the dormant business sectors, adding that there is a lot to be accomplished in transforming the economic situation of the state, especially by empowering its indigenes.
Hon. Isah Ameh, however, added that the Engr. Musa Wada will be held accountable on his promises and made to fulfill his pledges to the people of kogi state.
He added that Engr. Musa Wada is known for his good principles, ideologies and beliefs, which is the reason we should join force together and canvass for his emergence as the next governor of Kogi state.
