Kogi Governorship: Any Attempt To Deliberately Deny Gov. Bello APC Ticket, Would Be Disastrous – Major Olafimihan Akerejola, Tells APC National

There will be more confusion and it would be disastrous for the APC if deliberate efforts is made to deny Gov. Yahaya Bello the APC governorship ticket.
Major Olafimihan Akerejola, immediate past council Chairman of Ogori Magongo LGA, stated this in an exclusive interview with the Nigerian Post, noted that in as much as people who are qualified are allowed to contest, says he has no doubt that Gov. Bello would pick the party’s ticket and go ahead to win the governorship election, said though unconfirmed, the APC would be in greater confusion if deliberate attempt is made to deny Gov. Bello the APC ticket.
The former Council Chairman it would be recalled led other Chairmen to dump the PDP and joined the APC to defeat Capt. Idris Wada, says it is the right of qualified persons to seek the party’s ticket, warned the national Secretariat of APC not to be deceived by diaspora politicians, stating that it would be disastrous and create more confusion for the party in the state if Gov. Bello is deliberately denied the APC governorship ticket.
According to Major Akerejola, given the reality on the ground, the APC would still win the forthcoming November governorship election, called on his former colleague Chairmen, Councillors and Political Appointees to come out and further the cause of winning the November governorship election.
The former Council Chair, says it took him ingenuity and hard work to be able to leave behind legacy projects when he served, said his greatest regret was the tenure interruption which distorted his developmental blueprint for the area.
The former Council boss said given the resources available and at the disposal of Gov. Bello, the administration has faired well, describing him as the best bet for APC in the forthcoming November governorship election.
