Kogi: Government apologize for the slight delay in the payment of February salary

We want to apologize for the slight delay in the payment of February salary to our patriotic and industrious civil servants in the Kogi State.
The slight delay was as a result of two factors :
1. The allocation from the Federation Account hit the State Government account a little late.
2. There was a short-fall in the Federal Allocation, occasioning the need to source for funds to augment what we have in order to pay full salaries to all our cherished civil servants.

The bottom line however is that our Civil Servants have started receiving alerts as our Finance Managers are working round the clock to ensure all civil servants are paid in the next 24 hours.
We sincerely apologize for the slight delay in payment and want to reiterate our commitment to continue to pay salaries promptly as His Excellency has directed that civil servants should be paid before political office holders.

God bless Kogi State
