Kogi Fraud: We’re vindicated, Austin Okai Salutes EFCC Action In Kogi state, says Bello Government Is a Calamity.

by

Kogi state PDP stakeholder, Comrade Usman Okai Austin said the court freezing of Kogi state government account of over N20 billion Naira bailout fund has vindicated his consistent position that federal government Grant’s that should ordinarily be spent on those at the lower spectrum of society is being spent to sustain the ostentatious lifestyle of the governor alongside his vanity ambition to be the president of Nigeria. The primary victims of Gov. Yahaya Bello administrative tyranny and Atlantic ocean size pillaging of the state treasury are the everyday people of Kogi state – the hardworking paid in “percentage” civil servants, pensioners, the farmers and Kogites in general.

Speaking to the gentlemen of the press, Okai said that Kogi state is rich in resources but poor in administrative performance. The careless looting under the administration of Gov Yahaya Bello of the state’s resources is unprecedented in the annals of the history of the state and probably Nigeria. With little or no significant achievement to show for his stewardship of the state, the so-called “youngest governor” in Nigeria’s history is busy executing his ambition to become the president of Nigeria at the expense of Kogites.

Okai while commending the Economic And Financial Crime Commission, EFCC for doing its job, he further said that Bello has ruined the state and threatened whoever he sees challenging his careless act – a situation that has made Kogi state the political equivalent of Kim Jong Un, North Korea. Even though some person’s like me are courageous enough to objectively criticize the administration of Yahaya Bello and if and when need be, provide alternative and workable solutions to the problems of the state, it must be noted that activists and opposition figures have been locked up in prison for criticising the government of Yahaya Bello.

The Peoples Democratic Party youth leader enjoyed the EFCC not to yield to pressure that will arise from this action today, insisting that he is aware a day like this will come. Usman Okai Austin said Kogi state is steadily on auto reversal wondering what the President has seen in Bello that he is having free access to the state house Abuja.

Okai said the state workers are being deprived of their salary and made to live in penury. The reality of pensioners is nothing to write home about. He advised the president to distance himself from Gov. Yahaya Bello because of this scandal to prove to Nigerians of good intention that his integrity is not selective.
