KOGI FORMER DEPUTY GOVERNOR REJOICES WITH NIGERIANS, PREACHES PEACE, LOVE

 

The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Elder Simon Achuba has felicitated with Christians all over the world and Nigerians on this year’s Christmas celebration, calling for peace, love and unity among citizens.

Achuba in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary Akor Sylvester, noted that Christmas which is marked to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, calls for reflection, emulation and dedication to His teachings and ways.

He encouraged Christians and indeed Nigerians in general to pray for the country amidst challenges, and show love and kindness to one another, especially to the less privileged.

Stating that peaceful co-existence is needed for development to strive, the former Deputy Governor prayed for a better Nigeria where every Nigerian can go to bed well fed and be secured for another day.

The former Deputy Governor said, ” I congratulate the good people of Kogi State, Nigerians and the entire world on this year’s celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“I enjoin Christians and other Nigerians to pray for the country amidst challenges, and show love and kindness to one another, especially the less privileged. I also appeal for peaceful co-existence, which is needed for development to take place.

“As Christians, the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ, also signifies sacrifice, love for mankind, peace and freedom, therefore, Christians should emulate and embibe these qualities of Christ.

” I urge you to celebrate and show love to your neigbour, especially the less privileged. I wish you happy Christmas and new year in advance”.

The former Deputy Governor also used the occasion to urge kogites to shun any act that could lead to the break down of law and order, but await a better Kogi State ahead.He wished the entire state and Christians as a whole happy Christmas and wonderful new year in advance.
