Kogi Former Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba Mourns Makoju Death, Condoles With Family.

 

Kogi State former Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba has condoled with Makoju family over the death of their son, the Former, CEO/Group Managing Director, Dangote Cement Company Limited, Engineer Joseph Makoju who died on Monday at the age of 73.

The former Deputy Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester expressed shock over the passing away of an icon and a man known for his wealth of knowledge.

He said Engr Makoju made his mark in the annals of Nigerian politics and other organisations he served while extending condolences to the nuclear family and friends of the deceased.

The former Deputy Governor noted that it is always painful to miss a loved one and someone he called “his good friend”.

Describing the pain caused by his passing away as immeasurable, the former Deputy Governor enjoined his immediate family and the entire family of the deceased to take solace in the fact that death is “the ultimate end of all mortals”.

He also prayed for God’s protection of the immediate and extended families of Late Engr Joseph Makoju as well as the repose of his soul.

 

“I was shocked when i received the news of the passing away of my friend, Engr. Joseph Makoju. I understand the pain and grief the members of the family are going through because the death of a loved one is always painful.

“It’s quite unfortunate that he left at a time we needed his experience and understanding. I therefore, pray that God will grant the entire family of the departed icon the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he said.
