Kogi East: We Have Been Abandoned, Erosion May Soon Overwhelm Anyigba And Other Parts Of Kogi East – Usman Okai Austin Cries Out

The Popular Anyigba town may soon be overpowered by the erosion that cuts across, Ogane Ajih and Iyale Road and Dekina town of Dekina LGA as Ankpa Community and Ugwolawo are not also exempted . Okai while addressing press men, appealed to the lawmakers at the National level as well as House of Assembly members representing those areas to make case for the Igala Kingdom. He added that, making case should go beyond raising of hands up for mere ceremonial purpose rather necessary lobbying and appealing mechanisms should be activated to press home their demand.
He said, if they are serious and proactive with their agitation, it will go along way to attract Federal and State government attention. Usman Okai Austin wondered why Anyigba town that possesses historical relics of Igala is left like a ghost town, Okai challenges the lawmakers to go beyond distribution of cup of rice during the occasion, to real representation and good governance.
He stressed, “Challenging those in authority to prioritize public interest, wonder why the ecological fund is not being adequately used”
 
Requests should be made to Exological Fund Office ( EFO), for communities intervention and Government Agencies at Local, State and Federal Government Levels should be made to champion this plight by our representatives at various level”.
“It’s high time our representatives from kogi east both at the state and National Assembly, hold a joint meeting of taken up serious business of representative governance”.
