The chairman of the Senate Committee on Customs, Senator Isah Jibrin, has flagged off the distribution of  Agricultural Productivity and Economic Stability in Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency.

Senator Jibrin, representing the Kogi East Senatorial District, has reaffirmed his dedication to uplifting local agriculture by distributing crucial agricultural inputs and cash empowerment to farmers in Dekina/Bassa. This initiative not only includes the distribution of essential resources but also aims to foster economic resilience within the farming communities.

During the recent distribution event, farmers were joyfully presented with bags of rice and cash support, which brought smiles of gratitude and relief to many. Comrade Ibrahim Ahmodu, a legislative aide to the senator, emphasized the importance of utilizing these resources effectively for personal and community advancement. He encouraged the farmers to leverage the support to enhance their productivity and improve their agricultural practices.

Farmers from each political ward in Dekina and Bassa Federal Constituency were carefully selected as beneficiaries, ensuring that the support reaches those who need it most. By providing access to these resources, Senator Jibrin is committed to improving agricultural yields and promoting sustainable farming practices throughout the region.

According to him, the distribution of such significant quantity of farm tools, is to ensure sustainable agricultural practices as well as enhancing food security and boost food production in the state.

The senator said the programs will extend to Ankpa/Omala/Olamboro Federal Constituency and Idah,/Ibaji/Ofu and Igala-mela Federal constituency as well
