Kogi Born Accountant bags Honorary Doctorate, Leadership Medals

Kogi Born chartered Accountant, Akpa Paul Hassan has bagged the prestigious London Bridge Business School, United Kingdom and the University of Nicosia, Cyprus honorary doctorate degree in Public Administration and has been inducted as a fellow of Africa Institute of Public Administration (AIPA), Accra, Ghana.

Paul Hassan who is the current Bursar, Federal University Wukari was born to the family of Ame – agba Clan and hails from Ankpa, Kogi State of Nigeria

An astute professional, well groomed expert with vast experience in managing and supporting the efficient management of financial and administrative affairs of diverse organization in both private and public sector, Dr Hassan Akpa was also decorated with the Kwameh Nknumah Transformation Leadership Medal for his outstanding leadership in public service.

According to the Chairman, Africa Institute of Public Administration AiPA Dr Ben Nwankwo the institution has identified the need to build a strong community and network of African leaders who are unleashing innovative leadership at micro levels across organizations, public institutions, and governments in Africa and bestow on them a drown that is befitting of their experience, contribution, dedication and sacrifice as a leader to stand them out as iconic examples that will inspire others.

Dr Akpa who is a member of several professional bodies which include; Association of National Accountant of Nigerian (ANAN), Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ICEN) and the institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) among others was also described as one of the best professionals from the Confluence state.

Dr Akpa, an old student and Head boy of Government Teachers’ College, Abejukolo, Kogi State during his academic pursuit won the Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship as one of the best student from Kogi State in the Department of Accountancy.
