Masses Prefer Kabir Idris,Former Administrator.
The lingering crises brewing in APC may not settle for a long time to come, build up to local government election,as Dekina stakeholders of the party prefers the return of former council administrator,Prince Ishaq Shuaibu Okolo, Observers times has reliably gathered .
Prominent APC leaders including the APC Zonal Chairman,Ahmedi Attah,Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho and his colleagues at the state and federal level insisted on their preference to the return of the former adminstrator,Prince Ishaq Okolo.
While on the other hand,Kogi governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello prefers his predecessor,Alhaji Kabir Idris whose reign brought utmost peace,security and tranquility,as well as infrastructural developement, regular secutity meeting and other improved council activities.
But the stakeholders insisted a fight to finish with the choice of the governor, having taken virtually all means of their livelihood and patronage from the new administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.
They insisted that the former adminstrator has assisted the party in no small measure that ensure it’s victory in both the February general election and the last Governorship election in November, through the engagement of thuggery and thuggery related activities in Kogi state,Kogi east and particularly Dekina local government.
The APC leaders and elected representatives have insisted on a show down and threaten to live the party, if the governor insist on the choice of Kabir Idris .
The party starlwarts have state reasons to remain in APC between now and the next council election,stressing the need for a bialateral agreement between them and the state governor.
But on the part of the goverrment circle,the palpable security situation in Dekina particularly in Anyigba where lives and properties were lost in no small measure, had been a source of worry to the state government.
It observed with great concern that during the reign of the former adminstrator,Kabir Idris, securtiy situation was under control without backlash and recurence.
The crises of re-election and choice of stakeholders have started blowing a dangerous wind in the state, since the swearing in of governor Yahaya Bello for another term,it took another turn after the dissolution of the councils late last month .
It was reliably gathered that the present administration is not interested in the return of virtually all the adminstrators, as they were responsible for damages against the last admnstration of Yahaya Bello’s first term.
