The development that warrant Haddy Ametuo faction today submitted a petition to the National Working Committee of the party accusing Kogi state governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello of peddling fake executives and delegates names which is in the possession of the party National Secretariat, the faction informed National Chairman that the names of the delegates do not have true reflection of the party organ in the state.
The faction also denied any settlement with Yahaya Bello lead APC faction in the state with case still subsisting in the court,the faction lead by the former state chairman Haddy Ameto now beíng control by the state deputy Chairman Salihu Osune Shaibu and state Secretary Salam Tom Adejo has earlier approached the court for justice over which factions of the state APC excos is the authentic, the case was on last week thursday adjourned to October 2nd by Justice Abang of court 7, Federal High Court Abuja, the faction denied any recourse to withdrawal of the said pending matter, argued before the NWC that it is misleading to take a serious decision on absolute falsehood being perpetrated by the state governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his own faction of the APC.
The faction in the petitioned submitted today and received by the National Chairman urge the National Working Committee NWC to reverse its initial pronouncement of indirect primary in the state as that will amount to upholding the illegality being perpetuated by the governor, argued that indirect primary in the face of clear crises and faction orchestrated by the governor in the party in the state is to clear and shun the genuine party lovers and loyalist in Kogi state, also depriving genuine competition among the genuine mandate seekers of the party and it will as well as undermine the possible legal outcome of the action in court which we are resolved to pursue to the end.
Investigation by THE OBSERVERS TIMES revealed that eight aspirants indicated their interests to contest governorship election and chose to undergo direct primary election to produce individual aspirant as the party candidate.
The aspirants are Former Chief of Naval Staff, Usman Jibrin CFR; Prince Mohammed Audu; Alhaji Sani Lulu; Mohammed Ali; Jibrin Haruna Mohammed and others.
Investigation by this newspaper showed that the crisis may be far from end, if stakeholders refuse to yield to the clamour call for direct primary.The failure of a ’stakeholders’ action’ was hinged on Yahaya Bello , who as the incumbent governor,is not to be disposed to direct primary, “but,” “bent on imposing himself as the party candidate, using his own faction in the state as authentic executives with his handpicked delegates as authentic delegates contrary to the existing and original Audu/Faleke APC faction.
