The Ancient town of Egbe, headquarters of Yagba West LGA came alive when Abubakar Ibrahim, the main Peoples Democratic Party governorship Aspirant paid party executives, faithfuls and delegates visit ahead the party’s forthcoming governorship primaries.
For the PDP in Yagba West LGA, the stakeholders described the area as home to Abubakar Ibrahim, asked him to sleep with his eyes close, as the area would deliver a hundred percent votes for him in the delegates convention.
Immediate past House of Representative Lawmaker, Hon. Sunday Karimi was on hand to receive the compact full team of Abubakar Ibrahim, that is made up of Chief Clarence Olafemi, former acting governor of the state, Chief Abiodun Ojo and a host of other top notch politicians who were in the entourage of the man of the moment, likely to fly the PDP governorship flag, going by his work rate and wide acceptance.
According to Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, the people of Yagba West LGA are dear to his heart, says his mission and vision to governor the state is necessitated by failure in governance by the present leadership.
He disclosed that having traveled wide, with vast experience in the hospitality and Agriculture sector background, he has created several jobs, assured that if elected, his policies and programs would provide jobs for the state’s teeming youths.
While noting that Kogi people are not demanding for much from leadership, once you can create the enabling environment, put food on their table, establish health institutions, provide quality education, pay salaries as and when due, improve and build decayed infrastructure, that would make life worth living for the people, assured that he has what it takes to offer purposeful leadership.
If elected, Abubakar Ibrahim disclosed that good governance would be the only alternative for him, assured that his aspiration is geared towards improved welfare of citizens.
Abubakar Ibrahim, Businessman turned politician gave strong assurances of his commitment to making Yagba West occupy vital place in his administration, solicited their support in the forthcoming governorship primaries.
The Guber aspirant disclosed that his efforts to clinch the PDP ticket is serious business that would only be achieved with collective efforts, vow to upturn the negative fortune people of the state have had to go through under the APC led administration.
Abubakar Ibrahim said he joined the guber race to offer change lamented the sad narratives about the state, said the current challenges facing the state would be over come, assured of a total turn around.
Abubakar Ibrahim sympathized with the people of the state for the hardship they have been made to go through in the last three and half years, promised to once again make payment of salaries and pension regular as it was before the coming of the present administration.
He promised to place emphasis on agriculture, provide effective health care service, assured of quality education and tackle unemployment through massive women and youths empowerment, promised not to disappoint the people.
He described his mission and vision to occupy the exalted office of the state, as one borne out of the need to give every citizen of the a sense of belonging, appealed to the delegates from the area to vote for him in the party’s primaries.
He thanked the people of Yagba West LGA for the acceptance, insisting that his aspiration is not about him, but uplifting the living standard of the people to what is obtained in climes where good governance is practiced.
