Kogi 2019: I Have A Pact With Idah Federal Constituency -Musa Wada

PDP Governorship candidate for November election said the pact between his administration and people of Idah federal constituency when elected desire urgent redress
Engineer Wada stated this in Idah during the ongoing campaign for Kogi east, saying the cradle of Igala kingdom needs a befitting status in the present modern age
PDP candidate expressed shock while in Ajaka to meet the people during the tour and told the audience that the area was shortchanged by the present adminstration
According to Musa Wada,”What happened to Ofu was revisited on the people of Igalamela-Odolu,an area that produced a federal cabinet minster, but have nothing to show except skill acquisition centres ”
“In the case of Ofu,their darling son and our political leader,Prince Abubakar Audu won the governorship and at the verge of announcement got a call of nature, that was the bane of underdevelopment of the area, rather than attracting development” Wada said
“Once beaten twice shy, your son from ofu, precisely Ugwolawo, Most respected Yakubu Ugwolawo was the campaign director of the current governor Yahaya Bello, but the only impact is political ostracization by the Lugard Lord’s,instead of paying back with the development”
According to Engineer Wada, the case of Ibaji people is a pathetic one, similar to an adage in Igala land, that says,”lift me up and don’t touch me”
He said the humiliation meted to their son,was the worst political waterloo,an average politician in Nigeria will ever witnessed.
“They have deceived the ibaji people with all sorts of lies, flag off the only access road to their country home and later abandoned the project, not only abandoned, but embarked on lies and political propaganda that the most revered political leader from the area and Deputy Governor,Elder Chief Simon Achuba embezzled the funds meant for the road project,What a sham ”
The critical nature of the people of Ibaji kingdom is unique, the present administration negligence from Federal and State attention, in spite of the conservative nature of the people and deliberately refused to harness the scattered natural resources in the area, like the lingering oil producing area crises/and boundary between Anambra and Kogi, massive production of Yam,Rice,Beans,Fish and other agricultural products, yet no concerted effort from states and federal authorities to transform the area,is embarrassing.
According to Engineer Wada for two consecutive years,a deputy governor was denied access to his basic salaries and allowances,as well as given any opportunity to attract basic social amenities to his people and the entire state, this is beyond humiliation
“The APC government did not stop at that, but illegally removed him after 24 hours detention/house arrest,I don’t think any political dehumanization will be more than this “Engineer Wada told Ibaji people
He promised to redress this anomaly six months into his administration, by re-awarding Idah -Ibaji roads, paid up salaries and allowances of the state deputy governor,as well as civil servants in the state/local government and pensions
Engineer Musa Wada said the APC has left similar problems and administrative lapses in all the local governments,as virtually all the council arrears are now ghosts of itself
Wada assured the people of the area that the current Infrastructural decay, will become a thing of the past in Idah and all other area council within the Federal Constituency, deplored the current system of the present administration for dragging our revered traditional class into politics,as the Royal fathers were been conscripted into doing the bids of the APC led administration in Kogi.
“We are not unaware of threats and subtle threats, phone calls and plea to our Royal fathers, to assist in mending the battered image of the unpopular administration in Kogi, but they have failed to realise that as Royal homes, there is little they can do to influence an unpopular government like that of Yahaya Bello in Kogi”
“We will not live any stone unturned to continue to accord due respects to the traditional class, as well as rehabilitate and redirect their activities to be insulated from partisan Politics”
Engineer Wada thanked the people of the area for the large turnout, saying the needed change from bad leadership of Yahaya Bello’s APC has begin in earnest, urging them to vote massively for PDP by November 16.
