Kogi 2019: Abubakar Ibrahim Promises Growth, Development.

 
The Peoples Democratic Party leading governorship aspirant for the Kogi State forthcoming November election, Abubakar Ibrahim says his administration if elected would usher in the much talked about growth and development, pointing out that he has mapped out a holistic blueprint that would transform the state.
Abubakar Ibrahim gave the assurances while fielding questions from newsmen today, said his mission and vision for the state, which necessitated his aspiration, is borne out of the desire to lay solid building blocks for the coming generations.
The guber hopeful lamented the decay in infrastructure, said it is worrisome that major roads in the state are not passable, promised to build road networks across the urban towns, while emphasis would be placed on opening up the rural areas.
The PDP aspirant lamented that the state which used to be the bastion of education in the northern region and Kabba province, has now been relegated to the backyard, assured of an educational system that would create self reliant graduate and employers of labour.
According to Abubakar, ” regrettably our health institutions are now a shadow of itself. We’ve lost several manpower in the health sector. Aside bringing them back, remuneration that would reduce labour turnover would be put in place to motivate health workers “.
The PDP guber aspirant called on the delegates of the PDP to the forthcoming September convention to think the future of the state, minding the fact that the sacrifices of today is for the coming generation, says he is worried about the high rate of youths restiveness occasioned by unemployment.
He promised to create millions of jobs using agriculture, says as an agriculturists, he has outlined policies that would make farming lucrative, attractive for young school leavers and graduates.
The PDP foremost governorship aspirant says he has began talks with investors, within and outside the the country, who are ready to establish industries in the state, promised a rewarding administration that would make the state an envy.
Abubakar Ibrahim described his acceptance across the state as a measure of his integrity, capacity and credibility, pointing out that he would not misplace the confidence reposed on him by the overwhelming support he is enjoying.
