A petition has been submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by the electorates of Kano Central Senatorial District, seeking the recall of Senator Ruf’a’i Hanga from the Senate.
Citing loss of confidence in his representation, the petitioners accuse Senator Hanga of neglecting their basic needs and concerns, and failing to provide tangible evidence of his presence and contributions to the constituency.
The petition, signed by Comrade Yahaya H Yakubu on behalf of the electorates, invokes Sections 69 and 110 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), and urges INEC to facilitate the recall/withdrawal process.
