Justice Thomas Yakubu Dies at 66, Engr Musa Wada,Inuwa Iyodo,Ogwu Onoja SAN Mourn

The Peoples Democratic Party Governorship candidate Engr. Musa Wada has expressed sadness over the death of Justice Thomas Yakubu ,THE OBSERVERS TIMES report that Justice Yakubu died in Ojofu fasting camp in Anyigba on the 24th Dec 2019 after he preached on the 23rd at the Christmas program, Late Justice Thomas Yakubu hailed from Enjema in Ankpa Local government area of Kogi state.
Thomas Abutu at age 66, was a Judge of Court of Appeal, Lagos Division.
The PDP leader in the state said though he was pained by Justice Yakubu’ death , it would take solace in the fact that the late jurist did not only distinguish himself on the appeal court bench but also set a good record, to see his family continue his record of distinguished public service
Wada said Kogi State and igala Nation was proud that the late Justice belonged to the Golden Year of the Supreme Court when groundbreaking judicial pronouncements were handed down.
The statement partly, “Kogites recall with pride and nostalgia the remarkable judicial career of Justice Yakubu which started from lower cadre and culminated at the Court of Appeal. There, he became a distinguished member of that galaxy of immortal jurists.
Meanwhile, Mr Noah Iyodo has described Late Justice Thomas Yakubu as a man who fears God
and fearless in discharging his duties, very courageous, and erudite jurist who came, and saw and conquered. To the good Lord be all the glory for living a fulfilled life. Rest in peace.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Thomas Yakubu family and we are certain that at the appropriate time, the entirety of our polity will rise as one to celebrate the passing of a distinguished superstar whose memory will forever remain in our hearts as treasure and inspiration.”
Chief Ogwu James Onoja San the Agenyi Attah of Igala Kingdom described Justice Thomas Yakubu death as a big lost to the Nation,the Senior Advocates of Nigeria SAN says Kogi state and indeed the nation will miss his versatility and invaluable contributions to the development of our state and Nigeria.
“This loss is monumental but we urge all people of goodwill to remember his wife, children, and the entire Late Jurist family“
