Olori Margaret Bosede Orebiyi, former Kogi State PDP Woman Leader, have withdrawn her membership of the Party.
Similarly, Olori Margret yet to disclose his next political moves, the family source discussed that she has came under pressure to join her son , Prince Orebiyi who is now the close ally of APC Gubernatorial candidate, Usman Ododo
In a letter of resignation addressed to Ward 07 Chairman, PDP Ogbe Ward, the Local Government Party Chairman, State Caretaker PDP Chairman and Leader of PDP in Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, the former Woman said following the successful completion of her tenure, wished to quit active politics.
She used the resignation to thank all her leaders who gave her the opportunity to serve in various capacities to actualize herself as a politician of repute.
OBSERVERSTIMES recalled that the Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC in kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo was recieved by the state Women Leader of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mrs Olori Margaret Bosede Orebiyi
The visit according to Alhaji Ododo is in recognition of Mrs Orebiyii’s leadership roles in promoting gender mainstreaming and mobilization of women in the state.
He further enjoined women across Kogi State to intensify their prayers for him to emerge as the next Governor of the state in November, 2023 election as this will create better opportunities for women and strategically position them for improved access in leadership and governance.
In her response, Mrs Orebiyi appreciated the Frontline governorship candidate of APC in kogi for the visit, acknowledged his outstanding role in Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration and commend the present leadership in the state for involving women in appointment and elections done so far. She also gave the assurance on the readiness of Women to massively come out and vote on election day.
