Just In: Non Payment of Workers Salary, Protest Hits Lokoja As LG Staff.

There is massive protest going on in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital as Local Government staff trooped to the street to demand their salaries.
The protesters blocked Kogi Kotokarifi Road.

They were heard chanting, Bello we need full autonomy and not  percentage, pay us our money.
The medium earlier reported reported how Bello forced the Directors of Local Government to give him N1.8 billion from the funds sent to them by the federal government to pay salaries.
An action a group has petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC asking them to investigate the mater.
The development is raising tension across the state with the DLGs allegedly to be in the detention of the EFCC since Friday.
