JUST IN: Kaduna govt denies arrest of kidnappers of Greenfield varsity students

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, has refuted the reports of the arrest of the kidnappers of students of the Greenfield University.

The commissioner made the denial in a terse statement he posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday, while reacting to the reports and viral pictorials showing some yet-to-be-identified suspects with bundles of cash suspected to be ransom money, and firearms being paraded by security operatives.

The statement reads: “Arrest of Greenfield University Students’ Abductors Not Confirmed

“I have been inundated with calls, messages and emails to confirm if the bandits responsible for the kidnapping of the Greenfield University’s students have been arrested.

“While it is our desire to see this happen by the grace of God, I cannot confirm the story making the rounds, and I have not received any information related to this from security agencies.”
