JUST IN: GTB Gives Update On Disruption Of Services, To Reopen Branches By 12pm

The management of Guaranty Trust Bank Nigeria PLC (GTB) has announced that the bank will open its doors to customers by 12pm on Monday.

The bank in a statement shared on its social media handles admitted that its ongoing upgrade to a more reliable banking software system would take longer than it initially planned.

Recall that the bank had over the weekend announced that it will open its dorrs and all mobile banking channels by 9am on Monday (today).

The latest information from the bank reads:

“Following our recent notification on the transition to a new and robust suite of the finacle core Banking application systems,  we would like to update you that this transition has taken a little longer than planned.

“As a result, all banking channels, including our branches originally  scheduled to reopen at 9.00am  will now open by 12.00 noon today.”

“We understand that you rely on our services to carryb out important financial  transactions, and we  apologise  for every inconvenience this disruption to our banking services might cause you.

“We ask for your continued support as we complete this transition.”
