Enugu man who is angry over his younger brothers’ wealth has given him a poison that killed him for building a house in the village.
The incident that happened at the Nsukka community in Nsukka local government area of Enugu state has thrown the community youth into anger leading to the lynching of the suspect.
Mr. Ejike was alleged to have committed the act at the Ama-Echara community of Nsukka local government of Enugu state.
A community resident narrating the incident to WAR said Ejike was angry because of his younger brother’s wealth and killed him out of jealousy.
Having been tortured by the community youth who were angry over his brother’s death, Ejike confessed to having poisoned his younger brother.
Asked why he poisoned him, brother, the man said, he carried out the act because his brother disgraced him by building a house for him in the village.
The man added that it is not acceptable for him to see his younger brother build a house for him, describing that as an abomination, he said he poisoned his younger brother to take the shame and anger from away his mind.
Another community resident explained to WAR how the man, being his younger brother built a four-bedroom flat for his elder brother.
Rather than be happy for his younger brother building a house for him, the man got angry and poisoned him to death.
Mr. Ndukka, a family relative, while confirming the incident, described it as an act of wickedness and abomination, adding that he cannot explain why a man will poison and kill his younger brother for helping him to build a house in the village.
Ndukka said the deceased has been buried, while the suspect will be banished from the community.
