JAPA: Remi Tinubu Is A Hypocrite!

Our attention has just been drawn to a scandalous statement spewn by Remi Tinubu, urging Nigerians in Nigeria, including those with the means to forget about emigrating abroad, lying through her teeth that most Nigerians abroad are cab drivers, engage in menial jobs they are over-qualified to do, and wouldn’t do in Nigeria.

Here was a woman who japa-ed with her husband to the United States of America 🇺🇸 in 1979, but ended up becoming a house wife whose account was used to launder the proceeds of heroin barely one year in the States. I detest hypocrites!

It has become highly imperative to properly guide Remi Tinubu, the “Jezebel of Nigeria,” whose husband Bola Ahmed Tinubu illegitimately hijacked political power in 2023, but has been calamitous ever since, to keep quiet about things she knows nothing about.

The last time I checked, millions of Nigerians have been emigrating abroad since the 1800s, and have emerged as some of the best highly skilled professionals in diverse areas and endeavors of life- medicine, engineering, public administration, law enforcement, manufacturing, academia, etc. I stand to be challenged!

Millions of us abroad are not cab drivers and don’t do menial jobs we are over-qualified for. That statement by Remi Tinubu is just a crass generalization. It’s her level of thinking because she is a non-professional with no known career path like her husband.

Without much ado, let me remind @RemiTinubu that there are over 15 million Nigerians in the Diaspora, who are scattered across various skilled professions.

Let me also remind the uncouth and unknowledgeable Remi Tinubu that in 2023 alone, the @WorldBank disclosed that Nigeria’s diaspora remittances was about $20 billion.

Does Remi want Nigeria’s Diaspora remittances to stop so as to fast-track the “violent revolt” against her husband’s calamitous economic asphyxiation of millions of struggling Nigerians?

Those who personally know Remi should guide her to go back to the bedroom and kitchen where she belongs (according to Muhammadu Buhari).

The only reason why Remi Tinubu is against Japa is because rogue elements like them are scared of the economic powers and knowledge of Nigeria’s Diaspora.

Our indelible contributions to save Nigeria from rogue politicians like her husband last year sent shivers down their spines. So, for them, Japa must be discouraged by all means.

Let me advise that anyone who has the means to leave Nigeria 🇳🇬 should do so, now.

1920s, in one of his lectures, Ghanaian-born teacher and missionary, James Emman Kwegyir Aggrey told young Nnamdi Azikiwe, et al, that Africans should receive a college education abroad and return to effect change in Africa. Azikiwe left for the United States in the 1930s.

On Azikiwe’s advice, Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana left for the U.S. in 1935.

Jaja Anucha Wachuku left for Ireland in 1939.

Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya left for London in 1929.

Even Nigeria’s father of Modern Nationalism, Herbert Macaulay left Lagos in 1890 for further exposure in England.

Other Nigerian Founding Fathers like John K. Randle, Orisadipe Obasa, Dr. Richard Akinwade Savage, Sir Adeyemo Alakija, et al. also emigrated abroad, and later returned to Nigeria to fight the British Colonial Authorities.

Like Herbert Macaulay, John K. Randle, Orisadipe Obasa, Akinwade Savage, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Kwame Nkrumah, Jomo Kenyatta, Jaja Wachuku, et al., Japa now to gain the requisite knowledge of how things work in saner climes.

If you listen to a hypocrite like Remi Tinubu whose kids live abroad, and cancel that your Japa plans, these ones may be your rulers someday.

The Game Is The Game!

In the final analysis, let me state that the Presidential System of Government practiced in Nigeria today, as well as the Voting Rights for all Nigerians of 18 years and above, including women in Northern Nigeria, were political imports from the United States of America. Thanks to Japa returnees like Chief Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe, Mazi Ojike Mbonu, et al.

For context: While they schooled in America, Mbadiwe and Mbonu were very good friends to then U.S. First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of the Great 32nd @POTUS, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. All thanks to their student union activisms.

Go And Verify👇

Finally, unlike Remi Tinubu, we shall continue to encourage young Nigerians with the means to Japa.

After all, Japa returnees like Mbadiwe and Mbonu were two of the 49 members of the Constitution Drafting Committee, CDC, appointed by the military government of Murtala Muhammed and Olusegun Obasanjo in October 1975.

Their great experiences abroad culminated into the 1979 Constitution, and the current 1999 Constitution which needs rejigging here and there.

I sign out for other personal businesses.

Before I sign out for other personal businesses, let me state unequivocally that cab drivers, @Uber and @lyft drivers in a place like the United States of America earn more money monthly in Salary than the Nigerian President, Governors, Senators and House of Rep members.

Remove political corruption and illicit proceeds from heroin, Tinubu and his wife, Remi, would be poor.

Hypocrites!
