The police Authority in Gusau, Zamfara state on Sunday has debunked viral story being circulated on media announcing the released of 317 female students abducted by gunmen in Zamfara.
The Police in Zamfara in Zamfara in a chat with THE OBSERVERS TIMES said the “news is fake” said the police,” the Command on receipt of the fake news had immediately swung into action and investigated the purported news and found nothing of such has happened.
The Commissioner of Police CP Yaro Abutu is calling on the general public to disregard fake news and urged media outlets to verify any source of security report from the Command’s PPRO before publication
