It’s A Sad Day In Abejukolo, Omala Council Chair Describes Killing In Bagana As Dastardly.

Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Council, Hon. Chief (Alh) Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh has expressed grief over last night killings in Bagana, describing the unwholesome act as unfortunate and painful.

He made the statement in Bagana when he visited the crime scene.

He said, “we are saddened as a government and as a people. We condemn this act in it’s entirety. No stand to justify a man taking another man’s life. We commiserate with families of those who lost their lives in this incident. May their souls rest in peace”.

Alhaji Aboh stressed that, all that is required within the confines of the law will be done to apprehend the suspects of this crime, adding that, it will go a long way to justify the huge profitable investment the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has made in security of lives and properties which has placed the state as most secured in Nigeria.

Omala Council boss was later joined by his colleagues from Ankpa and Olamaboro, Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu and Hon. Friday Nicodemus respectively at Bagana to carry a joint efforts, covering Omala/Ankpa/Olamaboro Federal Constituency. Also present in solidarity was Executive Chairman of Idah Local Government, Hon. Abuh Odoma. This is the spirit of unison and collaboration established by Kogi East Local Government Council Chairmen. Chief Aboh passionately thanked his colleagues for their progressive partnerships.

Some yet to be identified gunmen stormed Bagana in the dead hours of the previous night to wreck havoc on the community, shooting sporadically, leading to the death of four persons.

Recall that the Chief Executive of Omala Local Government recently hosted Idah Naval Commanding Officer and reiterated his call for a Naval post in Bagana, considering the location of the community housing the popular Bagana market of national recognition, located in a riverine area bounding Benue and Nasarawa States.

Members of the community thanked the Executive Chairman for his swift response to Bagana crisis all the time. They hailed the effort of his colleagues for the show of love and collaboration amongst them.

More security personnel ranging from the Nigeria Army and the Navy have been drafted to the area to restore peace and build confidence.
