Renowned philanthropist and entrepreneur, Khalifa Abdulrahaman Okene has congratulated Muslims in celebration of the beginning of the 1445 Islamic (Hijrah) new year.
Khalifa Okene, who is the President of Khalif Cares Foundation, felicitated with Muslims in a press statement on Wednesday, urging them to remain fervent in prayers for the nations of the world.
According to him, every Hijrah is a reminder of the times to leverage upon in dedication to the biddings of God, and service to humanity.
He urged the people to continue to strive for a life lived according to the tenets of Islam.
Whilst he prayed for God’s intervention and peace across the world, especially the war-thorn nations, he further urged the people to practise the virtues of kindness, love, and tolerance, as the Prophet Muhammad exemplified
“For our country Nigeria, I pray for God to ease the sufferings of the people, direct our leaders to a noble path that will bring about socioeconomic development of the nation.
“I congratulate you all, and hope that the new year brings you all that your hearts desire,” he prayed.
