IPAC Determine to Promote, Free , Fair and Credible Elections In Nigeria, Dantelle. BY ABUBAKAR YUSUF.

The Chairman, Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantelle said for a country to remain peaceful, United and indivisible, the conduct of free , fair and credible elections is not negotiable.

Dantelle observed this on Tuesday during his opening address in Lagos at a 3 day workshop with technical working groups (TWGs) for political parties organised by the Kukah Centre, European Union Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EU-SDGN.) held at BON Hotel , Ikeja.

While commending the Kukah Centre, European Union and the concept of sustaining Nigeria’s democracy, Africa and across the globe , he reiterated the need to toe the same line as a sacrifice for good governance.

He stated the commitment of deepening democratic governance from the convergence of almost all the political parties for the program.

The unique opportunity offered by the three day session , according to Dantelle, will pave way for engagement in meaningful discussions, share expertise, foster partnerships that is capable of propelling our democratic institutions forward.

While describing democracy as the bane of all round development, he restated the determination of IPAC to continue to fan the embers of visionary leadership, importance of electoral accountability and inclusivity.

He said the only feedback for the selfless services been engaged by Kukah Centre and the European Union is to ensure we work towards a stronger , more resilient democracy that will serve the interest of all Nigerians. Dantelle stated.
