The Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. George Alli has directed the release of funds through the Works Department for the execution of various projects in the 13 Council Wards of Otukpo local government.
The Chairman made this known during a joint meeting with the Otukpo legislative Council members in his office on Wednesday as part of activities to mark his first year in Office. He also charged the Councilors to go to their wards when the projects begins, to see that whatever project is sited in their community is not only completed, but of good standard and of high quality.
In his words: “We must see to it that the presence of this administration is felt in every corners of Otukpo Council ward. As such, we will ensure that projects like construction of culverts and structures housing electricity transformers are achieved: at least. Despite the harsh economic realities of our country today”.
“I call on all of you (Councilors) to go to your various wards and closely monitor these projects from start to finish. You should ensure you record tangible success in your wards. Insist that the project is completed and of good standard and high quality”.
Reacting to the call, the Leader of Otukpo Legislative Council, Hon. Enokela Alegwu, speaking on behalf of his colleagues, thanked Hon. George Alli for running an all inclusive government and upholding the true concept of democracy in Otukpo. He described the Former state Legislator as “a beacon of democracy” and promised that he and his colleagues will live up to expectation regarding the execution of the projects.

Special Adviser,Media and Gender Affairs, the Otukpo Chairman said in terms of infrastructure there is so much gap to be filled, but that the economic situation of the country have been a hinderance to meaningful drives. But even at that, let us do something with the little we have.
