In a strong term, Accord Party Candidate, Usman Jibrin Condemn Attack On Convoy In Kogi,

Admiral Jibrin Usman (rtd) the Accord Party Kogi Governorship Flag bearer has condemned in very strong terms the Kogi State Governor’s convoy and SDP Candidate attack. He calls on the the Nigeria Police and the DSS to commence full scale investigation of the unfortunate incident with a view to unravelling the claims and counter claims between the State Governor, Yahaya Bello and the SDP Governorship Candidate, Yakubu Muri Ajaka respectively

Admiral Jibrin Usman described the attack as a promotion of primitive violence, a threat to democracy and a violation of the fundamental rights of citizens to freedom of lawful movements without fear of unprovoked attack, intimidation or molestation as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Accord Party candidate and former Chief of Naval Staff advised Kogities to avoid acts capable of complicating the security situation in the state and the country at large.

The statement calls on all well meaning indigenes to stand up together against violence and acts capable of over heating the polity, creating unnecessary tension in the state and instilling fear of insecurity in innocent citizen’s. Democracy must be allowed to strife for its benefits to the citizens.

The statement further calls on innocent citizens of the State to remain calm and law abiding at all times.
