In 2027 Atiku will be 81 Yrs: Bode George Urged Atiku to Rethink Presidential Ambition.

Chief Bode George, former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has advised Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, to reconsider his ambition and wait till 2031 to contest again.

George emphasized that a Southerner should occupy the presidency from 2023 to 2031, citing the PDP Constitution and the country’s political reality. He noted that by 2027, Atiku will be 81 years old, and it’s time for him to embrace the concept of allowing younger generations to run for the highest office, as exemplified by US President Joe Biden.

George also highlighted the need for zoning and rotation in the PDP, as stated in Section 7, Sub-section 3 (C) of the party’s Constitution, to ensure justice, fairness, and equity. He urged Atiku to respect the party’s Constitution and wait till 2031 to contest again, when he will be 85 years old.

The PDP leader emphasized the importance of fielding a Southerner as the presidential candidate in 2027 to wrest power from the APC and rescue Nigerians from economic and political destruction.
