“Imo Is Safe, Hotel Managers Came To Thank Me For Restoring Peace”- Imo Commissioner Of Police

The security situation in the country and Imo State has been greatly affected by it. Police stations and other government properties have been destroyed, security personnels have been killed, but there has been a high level of sanity in recent weeks.

 

In an exclusive interview with BBC News Igbo, the Imo State Commissioner Of Police, Abutu Yaro updated the general public on the current security situation in Imo State. He revealed that the security situation has improved and everyone is going about his or her business. Abutu Yaro revealed that hotel managers in Imo State came to thank him for improving the security situation in the state. He further claimed that criminality has been reduced drastically.

 

Abutu Yaro also reacted to a video, where people applauded unknown gunmen, saying that every criminal group have sub-units. He explained that those who applauded the unknown gunmen are also part of the criminal group, but only perform on social media. He further adviced Nigerians to disregard any rumour that Imo State is not safe.
