Igbos Built Port Harcourt; Don’t Mind Anyone Rewriting History – Governor Uzodinma

The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has said the Igbo people built Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The governor made the claims during a birthday ceremony held in honour of an Imo State-born elder statesman, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, in Owerri, the Imo State capital on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

Governor Uzodinma further claimed that some people are trying hard to rewrite history.

According to him, “Igbo people built Port Harcourt. Even if it pleases some people now to try to rewrite history, the Igbos built Port Harcourt.”

The governor further noted that Igbo people love Nigeria dearly, as demonstrated by the fact that they are found in every part of the country.
