Igala Vanguard has cautioned the paramount ruler of Igala kingdom,His Majesty,Micheal Idakwo Ameh Oboni ll,not to confer on non indigene,like Governor Yahaya Bello the title of ‘Oga Attah of Igala kingdom’ stating that the title is the exclusive preserve of persons from Igala kingdom.
The Vanguard in a statement issued in lokoja this evening, said it will be a slight on the people of Igala nation, to swap the traditional title for a non indigene from the area,no matter how highly placed
Engineer Lawrence Akpa disagree with the traditional council on it’s haphazard decision, particularly at this period of electioneering campaigns,saying it is politically motivated
Engineer Akpa even ruled out the decision to confer the title on the unpopular governor like Yahaya Bello, who has inflicted untold hardship through non payment of salaries to workers and pensions ,kill and maim our people through the government thuggery activities, along with encouraging social problems.

He accused the Royal house for it’s preference of Kogi governor,Yahaya Bello to the suffering Igala nation, were all the hitherto functional activities is now reverted to comatose leading to wanton hunger and starvation
Akpa said the activities of the Royal house in recent time,has been glaringly against the wishes of his subjects,especially conferring a title on the governor and others for selfish reasons
