ICDA : Those Who Desecrate the land will be consumed by the land.- IYC

 
The Igala Youth Council (IYC) has been following developments pertaining to the Igala Cultural And Development Association (ICDA), and we must immediately declared that we are horrified at the deliberate disrespect and orchestrated attempt to bring the Attah Igala, Gabaidu His Majesty, Michael Ameh Oboni 11 to disrepute, ridicule, odiom and embarrassment.
On Friday it was widely reported that Gabaidu had dissolve the ICDA Executive and Board of Trustees which in effect meant an automatic cessation of the planned activities by the body at the Igsla House in Ayingba on Saturday .
However it emerged that a letter purportedly authorised by Gabaidu refuting his earlier action began to circulate just as the ICDA event was underway.
We have since confirmed through our sources in the palace that the later communication was a forgery. Gabaidu actually directed the dissolution of ICDA and was oblivious of the letter denying his directives.
We are shocked that some persons who claim to work in the interest of our land, could be so savagely desperate to degenerate to the criminal and sacrilegious option of forging a letter in the name of the Supreme Father of our race. If ever there was any doubt as to the dubiousness of the intention of the dissolved ICDA, to resort to forgery as an excuse to defy our Supreme Father has totally erased any such doubt.
It cannot be overemphasized that all authority and legitimacy in matters concerning the Igala Race resides exclusively with the Attah Igala. Even if we detest his decisions or directives, we are forbidden by tradition from disobeying, challenging or even criticizing his decisions.
Thus we are totally distressed that some persons or group of persons who call themselves Igalas, will deliberately and so insolently challenge the authority of our Spiritual and Supreme father!
We like to caution the conspirators that all through history, all the persons known to have challenged or ridiculeded an Attah for whatever reason, have come to tragic and grievous ends.
Thus the IYC does not need to fight for Gabaidu and our Kingdom, as it is clear that people who deliberately ridicule the stool have brought an irredeemable curse on themselves.
However we are calling on all IGALA Youths at home and in diaspora to ostracize the perpetrators of this sacrilege against the Supreme Leader of our race.
IGALA youths must immediately mark these persons, no matter their office and stations in life, as enemies of our land.
We must also warn that political power is as transient as the days in a calendar. Those who think they have absolute power today should beware, for they shall certainly dismount from their high arrogant horses in the course of time.
The statement jointly signed by Hon. Onogu Collins, National President and Comrade Yahaya Hassan, National secretary condemned the brazen attempt of desecrating of our most reverred and venerated institution as a people .
We urge all IGALA Youths to be calm while our ancestors call this enemies of the land to account.
