Active Civil Servants, public sector employees, regardless of their jobs, have been told to refrain from contesting for some major positions in the coming ICDA election. They may only to provide technical expertise when called on. They have been warned to stay out of the coming Igala Cultural Development Association election which will usher in the next executive. In respect of the forthcoming campaign, Engr Lawrence Ankpa, the National cordinator warned.
Engr Lawrence praise the quality of men in the electoral committee; he tasked them to ensure ICDA is pulled out of kogi state politics strictly for the interest of the Igala race. The Igala Vanguard also warned Kogi state government to stay far away from ICDA as that is the only umbrella of unity of Igala race.
Igala Vanguard commends Chief Ogwu Onoja SAN and others in attendance for the inauguration ceremony and tasked members not to be used but, acknowledge that they are at the service to Ayegba Oma IDOKO and the group affirmed that, the issue of neutrality applies to both sides – the outgoing excos must be neutral not to seduce the electoral committee or interfere with the process and the electoral committee also must be neutral to ensure credible and transparent and credible process.
The group lamented that, the ICDA worked against igala interest in the last election and made it clear that the ICDA must uphold the interest of the Igala interest going forward.
