I wish Dangote was my father, says Tiwa Savage

Tiwa Savage, the award-winning singer, says she wished Aliko Dangote, the billionaire businessman, was her father.

The musician was reflecting on the day-to-day activities she had to undertake to make money.

In a post via her Snapchat story, the ‘Koroba’ crooner lamented that making money is not easy.

“I have one more meeting. It’s not easy looking for money o. God help me, but why my papa no be Dangote or something like that (may his soul Rest in Peace though),” she wrote.

In July last year, the ‘Somebody’s Son’ singer announced the demise of her father, adding that his passing left her unsettled.

“You fought till the very end, you really fought daddy. It’s been rough for you these past couple years but you are resting now. This is tough on me, I’m so numb, so weak. Rest in perfect peace my king. I love you daddy. Savy t’eko, pappin K,” she had written.

Tiwa Savage has established herself as one of the prominent figures in the Nigerian music landscape with strings of awards and honorary mentions

The singer is not the only celerity who wished to have a rich personality like Dangote as father.

In 2019, Tonto Dikeh, the Nollywood actress, had questioned what her father was doing when billionaires like Dangote were getting rich.
